Fupa Asansör Organizes a 5-Day Technical and Cultural Tour to Italy with 38 Industry Professionals

From September 9–13, Fupa Asansör organized a five-day trip to Italy, hosting a group of 38 distinguished representatives from leading elevator companies across Türkiye. Accompanied by Board Members Rıza Latif, Şehrazat Latif, Can Latif, Rüya Latif, and İdil Latif, the group visited manufacturing partners with whom Fupa holds exclusive representation and distribution agreements.

The participants had the opportunity to closely examine the manufacturing facilities of ALBERTO SASSI, MONTEFERRO, and FERMATOR, whose products they have used for many years. The visit also served as a valuable networking platform for elevator companies from across various cities including Ankara, Adana, Antalya, İzmir, İstanbul, Gebze, Elazığ, Malatya, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Konya, Samsun, Tekirdağ, and Trabzon. In addition to the professional visits, participants were also treated to a cultural and historical experience of Italian life.

The tour began with a warm welcome at Milan Airport by representatives of MONTEFERRO, who escorted the group to the Monvalle-based factory. During the site visit, attendees explored the high-level production technologies, advanced ERP systems developed in-house, and quality control and R&D processes that define Fermator's excellence. A detailed presentation about the company’s product history and offerings, including the Compact and Elite series, was also provided.

Following the Monteferro visit, the group toured the Rocca di Angera Castle, located on the southern shores of Italy’s second-largest lake, Lago di Maggiore. They also had the chance to see the castle’s toy and doll museum, as well as historical artifacts belonging to the Borromeo family, owners of the castle since 1449.

On the second day, the group visited FERMATOR’s Technidoors SPA facility, located near Milan. Operational since 2006, this factory primarily serves Italy and surrounding markets. The group examined Fermator’s capabilities in automatic elevator doors and witnessed the brand’s specialization and innovation in the field.

The final day included a visit to ALBERTO SASSI’s factory in Bologna. During the tour, participants were hosted by third-generation members of the Sassi family and senior executives. After the group toured the production line, a company overview presentation was held. Attendees were given a detailed look at the full production process, including assembly, painting, testing, quality control, and packaging. Sales representatives and Sassi family members provided in-depth explanations throughout the visit.

At the end of the tour, the group departed from Bologna Airport and returned to Istanbul.
